Abstrak : This article is to examine the collaboration event between Javanese and Islamic culture that is Nyadran. Nyadran is a part of selamatan (celebrations). Selamatan is a main ceremony in Javanese rituals. It is also a symbol of social mystics which is held in houses attended by the family members, neighbors and relatives who live in cities. The ritual is led by a modin (a ritual Javanese community leader).
