Abstrak :     Self identification is a preliminary phase of the process of birth the historical consciousness of mankind, it is an attempt to understand by critical perspective about the self. The important of this discussion is, not only to answer the question about what the meaning of identity, but also to think about how to gain anything beside the meaning of identities. The subject matter of this research was the opinion and the perception about "The Identity of Indonesian Islam" according to Muhammadiyah, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI), and Majlis Mujahidin Indonesia (MMI) in Jogjakarta. This research is the qualitative research that was trying to present the discussion that hope will be create a critique consciousness, it was not a reactive consciousness that appeared to face the external context but the creative consciousness that developed in the basis of autonomic independent thought. By the Derrida's- deconstruction and oral history method this discussion was trying to pursue the identities that adhered to the Moslem organizations in Indonesia according to how do they talked about themselves. The result found from this research are, firstly, it was not equal perception to the subject. Muhammadiyah and NU accepted the subject as the critical discourse, but HTI and MMI rejected the subject as a neutral discourse because that was created by American or the colonial perception, like moderate Islam, modern Islam, humanist Islam, tolerant Islam etc. as represented of "Indonesian Islam identity H. Secondly, According to Muhammadiyah and NU, it was more important to expose the Indonesian identity than the Islam identity ones. but to HTI and MMI, the Islam identity was more important to expose than ones.
